MY APPROACH
As an adolescent PMHNP, I provide empathetic, evidence-based, and holistic mental health care. I recognize adolescence as a critical period of growth and tailor treatment plans collaboratively with both the adolescent and their support system. My approach is strength-based and trauma-informed, focusing on resilience and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space—including for LGBTQ+ youth. I use the latest evidence-based interventions, partnering with therapists and other professionals, and prescribing medication when appropriate, involving family or caregivers to support positive outcomes. Prevention and education are central, equipping adolescents with coping skills and promoting early intervention. I strive to create a space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered to take control of their mental health. My goal is to empower all adolescents to achieve mental wellness and thrive.
ABOUT ME
As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am deeply passionate about supporting others in my community, as well as those who may still be exploring their identities. Friends and previous clients have often described me as someone who creates a calming, welcoming, and safe environment. I strive to offer non-judgmental, active listening to everyone I work with. My experience spans various levels of mental health care, working with people of different ages and cultural backgrounds. This has given me a strong foundation in psychiatry and a deep appreciation for each person’s unique story. I believe in getting to know my clients—and their families—so we can work together to develop a treatment plan that truly fits their needs. My goal is always to help clients feel empowered and heard.
Outside of work, I love to travel, explore new places, and learn about different cultures and traditions. When I’m not on an adventure, you might find me building wooden miniature puzzles or enjoying a thrilling roller coaster ride. At home, I share my life with three cats and a dog who, having grown up with the cats, has picked up some feline habits himself!
